Questions
Palm Wound Care FAQ
Does Palm Wound Care provide wound care at home?
Yes. Our licensed wound care clinicians treat wounds in private homes across Broward, Palm Beach County, and the Treasure Coast — no clinic visit required.
Do you see patients in assisted living and nursing facilities?
Yes. We treat residents in assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehab facilities, and we run scheduled wound rounds for buildings that want consistent coverage.
How quickly can a patient be seen?
We move quickly and urgent wounds are prioritized. Call us and we'll tell you exactly when we can be there.
Is mobile wound care covered by insurance?
Coverage depends on the plan and the clinical situation. Call us with the patient's information and we'll walk you through it before any care begins — so families know where they stand.
Do I need a doctor's order to start?
Start with a call either way. When an order is required, we coordinate it with the patient's physician — you don't have to arrange that yourself.
What wounds do you treat?
Pressure injuries and bed sores, diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, arterial ulcers with limb-salvage coordination, post-surgical wounds, wound VAC (NPWT) wounds, and chronic non-healing wounds.
Do you work with home health agencies?
Yes. We add specialty wound treatment alongside the agency's nursing — the agency keeps the case and gets our findings.
What languages do you speak?
English, Spanish, and Russian — clinical explanations included, not just scheduling.
What area do you cover?
Broward County, Palm Beach County, and the Treasure Coast — from Hallandale Beach and Fort Lauderdale up through Jupiter, Stuart, Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, Vero Beach, and Sebastian.
What should I do in an emergency?
Call 911. Fever with a worsening wound, spreading redness, uncontrolled bleeding, or sudden severe pain needs emergency care, not a scheduled visit.
